The Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA) is proud to be a founding partner of The Center of the Study of the National Guard (CSNG). This partnership underscores AFBA’s unwavering commitment to supporting the National Guard community. By contributing to the establishment and ongoing support of the library, AFBA is helping build a repository of documents, histories, oral histories, and other related materials to facilitate the study of the National Guard. The history of the Guard and its Citizen soldiers can finally be captured and told.

In 1947, AFBA emerged from the basement of the Pentagon to solve a critical need in support of the military. More than 75 years later, our commitment to those who go in harm’s way remains core to everything we do. Today, in partnership with state associations, AFBA offers more than 200,000 National Guard families protection through the State Sponsored Life Insurance program (SSLI), underwritten by 5Star Life Insurance Company.
